Transfers, refunds & cancellation policy

Please be advised that that by registering for the Stampede you acknowledge and accept the cancellation terms below:

I hereby understand and acknowledge that all fees and associated costs (including optional product purchases and donations), paid for The Stampede event are NOT REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON, under any circumstances, including but not limited to injury, a scheduling conflict, change of venue, event rescheduling and/or event cancellation. I accept that the organisers reserve the right to alter the advertised course, change venues, reschedule or cancel the event altogether if conditions warrant it or otherwise at the organisers sole discretion. If the event has to be cancelled due to weather conditions, natural disaster, acts of god, terrorism, war or any other reason deemed reasonable by the event organisers, the event will be re-scheduled where possible. If the event is capable of being rescheduled then tickets purchased will be transferable to the rescheduled event date. These terms and conditions shall apply to the rescheduled event.

Participants may transfer their registration to another person, start time, race length, event date or location by logging into their registration and changing the details required up until midnight on the Sunday 4 weeks prior to event day. Any transfers made from 12.00am on the Monday 4 weeks prior to event day, up until 5.00pm on the Wednesday before event day will incur a late transfer fee of $33 per transfer (plus any differences in ticket prices if applicable). This fee applies to all entries including individuals in Teams. Registration transfers close and will no longer be possible from 5pm on the Wednesday before event day. After this date no transfers will be accepted. Transfers may only be made to start times that have open space available.

If you are registering a team, you acknowledge that all team members are bound by this Transfer, Refund and Cancellation policy.

Conditions of Entry

The following conditions of entry apply to all participants and visitors to The Stampede.

1.Valley Stampede Pty Ltd is a provider of recreational services and activities as defined under the Civil Liability Act. You are warned, acknowledge and accept that The Stampede is an inherently dangerous place that contains all manner of obstacles, risks and dangers, both known and unknown, natural and man made which may result in loss or damage to your property, personal injury or even death. Knowing this to be the case, if you choose to come onto the property where The Stampede is held you do so entirely at your own risk and to the extent permitted by law, you release and indemnify Valley Stampede Pty Ltd (and its officers, employees, agents and contractors) from and against any claim or liability of any nature in relation to injury or death, from you or any third party which might arise from entry to, or the use of The Stampede area by you and any accompanying persons and/or minors regardless of how the damage, injury or death is sustained or caused.

2.I understand that the organisers reserve the right to alter the advertised course or location, close or withdraw obstacles, to postpone, reschedule or cancel the event if conditions warrant it or otherwise at the organiser’s sole discretion, including for the following reasons: if natural or man-made emergencies make administering the event unreasonable due to weather conditions, natural disaster, acts of god, terrorism, war or any other reason (at the organiser’s sole discretion), and that my entry fee will be non-refundable.

3.All participants must read and sign the Participants Waiver. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian read and sign the participant’s waiver on their behalf. You represent that you are the parent or authorised guardian of any children aged 17 and under (‘minors’) accompanying you, and provide these acknowledgments and disclaimers on behalf of yourself and all such accompanying minors. This disclaimer must be received on the day of the race at the registration tent, before any registration packs are handed over to the participant and they can start the race.

4.A personal accident insurance fee is included as a mandatory item on all registrations for The Stampede. This insurance provides participants with a basic level of cover in the event that you are injured whilst participating in The Stampede. This insurance is compulsory for all participants, regardless of what other insurance you may have in place.

The personal accident insurance arranged for the this event is a basic policy and as such it is strongly recommended that all participants take out their own private health insurance and income protection insurance etc before participating in the event. The Stampede makes no representations as to the adequacy or appropriateness of the cover provided for each person’s individual circumstances and we recommend that you discuss these requirements with a financial services provider.

5.I agree to exhibit appropriate behaviour at all times, including obeying all laws event rules and directions of officials and I understand that my entry may be voided if through my actions or behaviour, in the opinions of the organisers, I have broken these rules or brought the event into disrepute. I further understand that the organisers reserve the right to reject any entry without having to justify their actions

6.Some parts of Glenworth Valley are not open to participants and visitors as part of The Stampede for safety and other reasons. The Stampede visitors must not enter fenced off areas, or areas to which access is denied.

7.I acknowledge that any property or equipment (without limitation) that I bring into The Stampede is at my own risk and release Valley Stampede Pty Ltd (and its officers, employees, agents and contractors) from and against any claim or liability in relation to loss of or damage to such property, even where such loss or damage is caused by negligence, default or breach of contract by Valley Stampede Pty Ltd (or its officers, employees, agents and contractors)

8.I grant permission to Valley Stampede Pty Ltd to use my photograph, video, multimedia and/or likenesses of me captured during the event by Valley Stampede Pty Ltd and its affiliates or contractors without payment and/or compensation to you. These items become the sole property of Valley Stampede Pty Ltd to use for any legitimate purpose, including but not limited to promoting, advertising and marketing activities.
